  1. Q : What should I prepare ?
    A : For some personal equipments, participants are recommended to bring laptop/notebook, personal medicine or first aid kit, rain coat/ umbrella, sneakers or boots for fieldwork, cap or hat, and comfortable clothes ( the weather in Yogyakarta is warm and hot, you can bring the suitable clothes to stay in Yogyakarta)

    PASSPORT and VISA
    Participants must be in possession of a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date arrival, and have proof (tickets) of onward or return passage. Indonesia now provides special short stay Visa Free facilities for 169 countries (detailed list in the website1). Visa Free facilities are valid for 30 days, are non-extendable and cannot be transferred into any other type of stay permit. The visa exemption facility can be used for Summer course.

    If the 30 days of Visit Visa Exemption facility feels insufficient, visitor from 61 countries (detailed list in the website1) still can apply for Visa on Arrival. The VoA facilities are valid for 30 days and extendable for another 30 days to be applied at Immigration offices in Indonesia. Visas cost US$35. Except listed countries in the website, visitor must apply for visa at Indonesia Embassies or Consulates in their home country. Visas cannot be replaced with any other immigration letters. The visa shall be administered by the Visa Officer in the presence of the applicant concerned.   2. Q : How is the public transportation in Yogyakarta, Indonesia?

    A : There are several public information in Yogyakarta such as

    Trans Jogja Bus (operating hour 06.00 am - 10.00 pm, ticket price IDR3.000)
    City bus (limited route, price IDR3.000-4.000)
    Taxi ( open door IDR5.500 | minimum fare IDR10.000)
    Online App Transportation ( Grab and Go-Jek ) you can download the app in PlayStore.

    Here are some short note about Public Transportation in Yogyakarta : 
    1.Left-hand traffic on Yogya
    2.Taxis are safe and cheap
    3.Except airport taxis, ask drivers to switch on the meter.
    4.Whenever you use a service that is not priced through an app or a taxi meter, make sure to bargain before you use the transportation.
    5.Online App transportation (UBER, GRAB, Go-Jek) are opposed by some community in some area.
    6.Most of busses are available daily 9 am to 10 pm in a certain line and unschedule time.
    7.Road conditions can be bad because of traffics and share road with pedestrian, street vendors, even pets.
